I ordered another less expensive strap before this one and it was lightweight elastic so you couldn't cinch things down tight. These straps are not elastic. They are a good solid well-made strap that is almost identical to the one that came with my roll-up water pad we strap to the back of the boat. The velcro is strong and runs continuously along the strap so they will work with varied size loads.Since I have a couple of extra straps, I may use those to strap down a cooler and small generator on the back of my tailgate during football season. It would be much faster than binding ratchet straps to secure and unsecure the load.
